I Miss Being Naked For Hours in Public

 

I’m sure you’re wondering why a 52 year old women would want to do this.  Let me give you give the backdrop of the story. 2 years ago I organized the Online Health and Wellness Global Summit for Midlifers. There were a lot of late nights, missed workouts, skipped meals, very little time for me, etc. Basically my self-care routine had been pushed to the wayside.

One of the late nights while working in my home office I felt the pain in my neck from being hunched over my laptop for long hours and made the decision to schedule some ME time.

I decided to head to the Korean spa called Jeju Sauna. It’s open 24 hours, 365 days of the year. The friend that told me about it raved about it and it sounded amazing. She then said you have to be naked there. I was like “Seriously!”. She said “Yep”. I thought to myself if it’s that good I have to go. She gave me all the information I needed to prepare myself for it. At first I felt about odd exposing my naked body to strangers but I got used to it, after all every other female was wearing their birthday suit.

It was a great way to spend my day of rest and relaxation after running a summit. As I plan my 2 in one day Masterclass on How to Balance Your Hormones for next week, I wish I could spend a few hours naked and enjoying the spa services at Jeju Spa. As much as I miss it, with Covid it’s a hard No for me. Did you know that the Korean spa culture dates all the way back to the 15th century? I look forward to being naked for hours once things get back to normal.
