Some mornings I just want to lay in bed

Let’s just say this was one of those mornings that I did not want to get up at 4:40am. It was 45 degrees outside and my workout happens outside at 5:15am. Yes outside! ….it doesn’t matter if there’s rain, snow, hail you name it…Okay I am exaggerating, we don’t exercise when there is thunder, heavy rain or snow. We do however workout when it’s cold. Cold is relative. For me cold is anything less than 50 degrees. brrrr!!!

I seriously considered sleeping in and missing fitcamp today, however I thought about the way I feel after I workout and that made me get  up and get ready. I have to say on days that I am reluctant to work out and I actually workout out, I have never regretted it. Have you noticed that too ?

I hope you moved in some way today.  This was my workout this morning. I had long workout pants,a t-shirt, a long sleeved shirt,a jacket and gloves, needless to say the jacket did not come off until 45 minutes into the class.

1) Kettle bell swings (15 pounds)

2) Arm Curl with (10 pounds)

3) Dumb bell punches (5 pounds)

4) Kettle bell rows (12 pounds)

5) Kettle bell squats (20 pounds)

6) Punches with weights (5 pounds)

7) Medicine ball slams (12 pounds)

Core work consisted of scissors, toe touches and elbow to knee crunches.

All in all it was a great workout and I am glad I resisted the urge to stay in bed, because it was cold outside. Working out this morning gave me the natural jolt I needed to start my day. I hope you find a way to move today if you haven’t already. I really prefer to workout in the Spring or Summer. When do your prefer to workout ?

P.S.  I took the snapshot of the temperature 6 hours after I worked out. It is still very cold to me!!! I hope it gets to 70 degrees soon.
