Self-Care Series: 5 Amazing Facts About Menopausal Symptoms

Today I am going to be discussing  a topic that has been on my mind for quite sometime now. I’ve done some research on it and I’ve even done some tests on myself. It is menopause. Yes, everything around menopause. Perimenopause, post menopause, all those symptoms that come when we get into that phase.

What I’ve been doing for the past year and a few months is testing out holistic ways to ease some of those symptoms that come about when we get into that phase. Surprisingly, I’ve had some good results. Really good results with it. I’ve even tested it on other people and they’ve received great results also. I want to share that with you because most of my clients are in their 40’s and above. So, more than likely you might be experiencing some of those symptoms.


I will tell you a little story before I go into what I think you need to do. I noticed I started having night sweats and I knew that night sweats was one of those symptoms. I was trying to figure out what to do to lessen the symptoms because it was going to a point where I would wake up in the middle of the night change my clothing because I was soaking wet.

I offer a program called The Simply Vibrant Cleanse and I decided I would pay attention to my symptoms around that time and see if they would change or anything would happen. Sure enough, they did. I noticed that I wasn’t sweating as much. My issue was really night sweats so that was really what I was trying to focus on. I noticed while I was doing the cleanse, my symptoms stopped. And even though I did have night sweats, it was so mild I wouldn’t need to change which was a major improvement because that meant that I didn’t have to wake up to change.

I thought that was kind of interesting.  I wasn’t so sure what was really it. So I did a test. I wanted to pinpoint what exactly was it that was triggering the night sweats. And you know what it was for me? Alcohol. I like to drink reisling, apple orchard beer or mojitos from time to time. I realized that one drink late in the evening is enough to trigger it for me. If I have a drink early in the afternoon, I’m fine. If I have it towards the evening, then my symptoms return like a vengeance.

I wanted to share that with you and other women because I know a lot of women go through various symptoms. Sometimes they go to the doctor and the doctor tells them “That’s life” or “That’s how it is” and I want to let you know it shouldn’t be that way.

If you are looking for a holistic method to relive the systems, I encourage you to do this test. I encourage  you to pay attention to your body signals during the test. Your body will tell you if it is working or if it is not. So, I want you to do a test for a few days. 3-5 days at least. I want you to take out dairy, cut out alcohol, cut out sugar, cut out caffeine and reduce the amount of spicy food you have before you go to bed. Just test those out and see. I can bet that you will probably notice a difference. Most importantly listen to your body’s signals. Your body is going to tell you if it is working or if it is not. Try it out and see.

I believe that women do not have to go through all these different symptoms that they go through and think “that’s just life”. Go ahead and give these holistic methods a try.
