Eat this.

Drink this in the morning.

Drink this at night.

You can no longer eat this.

The rules…the suggested products… it never ends.

My goal as a Midlife Lifestyle Expert is to make living a healthy lifestyle simple for you.

You might be doing everything you think is right and not losing weight.

Regardless of what the experts have told you, myself included you always have to consult with your internal guide – your body. First and foremost you have to listen to your body.

Your body will never steer your wrong regardless of what the experts say or what the food manufacturers say. I remember a few years ago purchasing organic granola from Whole Foods. I was so excited to try out the new cereal. The next morning I woke up excited to try it out. I opened up the box added almond milk and laid out my cutlery and breakfast mat ready for my granola feast. I eagerly anticipated the first spoonful and it didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed it spoon after spoon. I finished it, more like scraped very single drop and drove to work. Within an hour I felt bloated (my body talking to me), however it never occurred to me that it could be the granola. After all it was organic.

Well my stubborn self went through this episode three more times. Every morning I would eat the granola and like clockwork within the hour I would feel bloated. After the third time I began to question whether it could be the organic granola. I decided to try it the fourth time and right on cue within the hour I became bloated. My body was communicating with me that the organic granola didn’t work for me, however I kept ignoring it because it was organic. You might be ignoring your body’s signal in a similar way. My body knows best what is good for me more than any other external expert or type of food. You body know what’s best for you. You body knows you better than anyone else.
